This is a rare May 5th, 1947 "Playgoer" playbill from the one-week, National Tour engagement of the groundbreaking RICHARD RODGERS and OSCAR HAMMERSTEIN II musical comedy "OKLAHOMA!" at the Erlanger Theatre in Buffalo, New York. (The production opened March 31st, 1943 at the St. James Theatre in New York City and ran for 2212 performances while simultaneously playing on the road.) ..... The ensemble cast included EDITH GRESHAM, JAMES ALEXANDER, PEGGY ENGEL, ALFRED WEBSTER, RIDGE BOND, VICTOR YOUNG, ORVILLE SHERMAN, ROBERT NASH, PATRICIA SHAY, DAVID MORRIS, CHRISTINE KARNER, CLAIRE PASCH, DAVID GLADSTONE, LOUISE FORNACA, MARCELLA DODGE, LOIS JOHNSON, DAVE MALLEN, EUGENE KEITH, ROBERT EARLY, EVANS DAVIS, JERRY CLAYTON, EDWIN ZIEGLER and ALFRED CIBELLI, Jr. .....
